HOW TO QUICKLY CHECK IF YOUR COOKER IS AFFECTED

1. Is the installed cooker the original cooker you bought together with your vehicle?
If yes, please check the first registration or production date of your vehicle.
If this date is before October 2020, the cooker is not affected, and nothing needs to be done.
If the date is October 2020 or thereafter, you need to check the data label of the cooker.
If it is not the original installed cooker, you also need to check the data label of the cooker.

2. Did you buy the cooker from a retailer before October 2020?
If yes, the cooker is not affected, and nothing needs to be done.
If you bought the cooker from a retailer in October 2020 or thereafter, you need to
check the data label of the cooker.
If you don’t have the exact date of purchase, you also need to check the data label of the cooker.

3. The data label should be provided together with the cooker manual.
If not available, the data label can be found on the bottom of the cooker.
If you have no access to the bottom of the cooker, your dealer/installer can help you with this check.

4. On the data label, you can find the SKU. If it starts with 96000… and is shown in the above list, your cooker is affected.

You can also refer to the operating instructions for your vehicle for the precise product description of the cooker installed in your vehicle.

PHOTOS OF THE AFFECTED COOKERS ARE GIVEN BELOW BY WAY OF EXAMPLE:

The background to this decision is information concerning a potential leakage of the assemblies installed in cookers (cooker regulators and/or supply tubes).

DUE TO THE LEAKAGE, AN UNDETERMINED AMOUNT OF GAS CAN LEAK DURING THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE PRODUCTS WHICH CAN IGNITE WHERE A SUITABLE IGNITION SOURCE IS PRESENT. AS A RESULT OF THIS, A FLAME FORMATION CAN OCCUR AROUND THE REGULATORS. FURTHERMORE, IT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED IN THE WORST CASE THAT THE GAS-AIR MIXTURE  EXPLODES. THIS CAN SERIOUSLY INJURE THE USERS OF OUR PRODUCTS BUT ALSO UNINVOLVED THIRD PARTIES.

SHOULD YOU HAVE PURCHASED ONE OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED PRODUCTS, PLEASE STOP USING THE PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY, CLOSE THE SHUT-OFF VALVE AND KEEP IT CLOSED!

Instructions on how to close the shut-off valve properly are given below:

Once you have done so, please contact your dealer or the nearest Dometic Service Partner to initiate all further steps according to our specifications quickly and easily (testing and, if considered necessary, replacement). You can find our service partners on our homepage under the menu item "Find a dealer".
