In this article, we will tell you about the Panda ECU, which is the Environmental Control Unit.
This unit has been designed for both civil and defence applications. The notable feature of this unit is that it has been designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions from -32°C to +55°C
It ensures the perfect operation environment for both personnel and sensitive electrical equipment.
This Environmental Control Unit is a so called “split pack” version. This type of unit consists of two modules which are connected together.
The first part is the condenser module.
This is the condenser unit and is installed within the technical area. This model is designed to be installed within a protected area within the vehicle.
The second part is the evaporator module.
This is sometimes referred to as the "EVAP". It is installed within the shelter or area to be cooled or heated.
The operating panel is fitted to this unit. Temperature and fan speeds are controlled in automatic mode.
This unit can provide 8 kW of cooling performance or 5 kw of heating performance.
The unit is powered by 400 Volt - 3 phase alternating current.

This unit has also been designed to meet MIL Standards regarding EMC electromagnetic compliance
