HYMER Exsis-i: Motorhome of the Year 2022 in the Integrated category up to €80,000 After a Corona-related break in 2021, the vote for the motorhome of the year 2022 was carried out again as usual by the trade journal promobil. The HYMER Exsis-i once again won first place in the category A-Class up to 80,000 euros. Once again, it convinced the judges with its consistent lightweight construction combined with maximum flexibility and excellent comfort.

HYMER Exsis-i: Motorhome of the year 2020 in the Integrated category up to € 80,000 With an exterior width of a manoeuvrable 2.22 m and thanks to consistent lightweight construction, the HYMER Exsis-i is also one of the mainstays in the 3.5-ton class. Thanks to the proven high-tech PUAL 2.0 structure, the series is optimally insulated and, with numerous assistance systems and modern body technology, ensures stability and durability.

Optimum insulation The PUAL-foamed walls with aluminium inner and outer skin are an important component of the vehicle’s durable high-tech bodywork. The excellent insulation of the closed-cell PU foam guarantees pleasant temperatures throughout the year and low gas consumption in winter.

Ideal undercarriage The specially developed lightweight frame with independent wheel suspension forms the perfect basis for the bodywork of this motorhome model range. Its optimally positioned wheelbase ensures equal weight distribution, even when the vehicle is fully loaded.

Lasting protection from below The nearly indestructible GRP underbody makes the motorhomes virtually immune to damage caused by inclement weather. Stone damage, grit and dirt are likewise kept at bay from the Hymer Exsis-t underbody – a solid foundation for the entire service life of your motorhome.

Vast payload reserves With a payload in excess of almost 700 kg for the standard-equipment version, the HYMER Exsis-i 474 achieves a top value in the 3.5-ton class of integrated motorhomes. With a fully equipped layout, the motorhome still remains comfortably under the 3.5-ton limit. Even the 7.49-metre HYMER Exsis-i 678 offers a payload of over 500 kg. That’s a top value for integrated motorhomes.

Nice and toasty Thanks to the standard 6-KW hot-air heating system with hot water boiler, you stay toasty warm inside even when it’s freezing outside. Tests prove it. That means the HYMER Exsis-i, just like all HYMER motorhomes in the series, is winterproof.

Interior Features

HYMER living areas are notable for their warm atmosphere. As all of the interior lighting uses state-of-the-art LED technology as standard, you save 75% of power consumption. This also increases the battery life by many hours. Since LEDs don’t get hot, this also improves fire and accident safety.

The optional 22-inch LED flat screen can be adjusted to the ideal position for the viewer in the living area in the HYMER Exsis-i thanks to the optional telescopic swivel bracket. Perfect for a relaxing evening in front of the TV!

The shelves, which are fitted elegantly in the entry area of the Exsis-i depending on the layout, are ideal for storing all the items you need quickly when leaving the motorhome.

The table in the living area of the HYMER Exsis-i can be rotated 360° and adjusted both vertically and horizontally as required.

The large windows combined with the HYMER panoramic roof vent ensure the living area in the HYMER Exsis-i is always light and airy.

The elegant coat hooks are ideal for storing jackets or hanging up tea towels to dry.

The optional LED ambient lighting integrated underneath the fold-down bed creates a cosy mood, especially in the evenings

The comfortable driver’s cabin seats in the HYMER Exsis-i can easily be turned around to face the seating area, creating a welcoming living area with plenty of room to easily accommodate up to five people. The pilot seats are also optionally available as seats that are adjustable in height and angle.

The pleated concertina blind on the front windscreen provides a convenient means of darkening the cab area. As an additional shield against cold and direct sunlight, it also helps ensure a comfortable temperature in the interior all year round.

Both the comfort L-shaped seating area with its lounge upholstery and the 360° rotatable luxury table, as well as the optional height and angle-adjustable Ergoflex pilot seats with their wide armrests, enable you to relax and drive in comfort (similar upholstery materials available).

To match the living area, the comfy driver’s cabin seats in the HYMER Exsis-i are upholstered in the same fabric design as the seating area.

All fabric and leather variants exhibit above-average light and colour fastness values to cope with the high levels of solar radiation. They are also coated with a stain protector and are thus extremely hard-wearing and easy to clean.

The swivel driver’s cabin seats in the Exsis-i integrated motorhome are fully upholstered in the same fabric design as the living area. Height and angle-adjustable, as well as heated driver and passenger seats are also optionally available

The new HYMER SMART Control not only provides fast route calculations and up-to-date maps, but also displays all data from connected on-board systems directly via the control unit, including the voltage of the starter and living area battery and the fresh and waste water tank levels. What’s more, it allows the customer to keep an eye on the 230 V mains power supply.

Ample space, light and quality of life

The welcoming atmosphere of the interior makes it easy to feel right at home. No matter how you look at it – the interior offers everything you could wish for in terms of space, comfort and warming brightness.

Every inch inside the HYMER Exsis-i is used cleverly: For instance, even the service compartment in the platform underneath the seating area offers space for additional travel equipment.

The fresh water tank of the semi-integrated HYMER Exsis-i is fast and easy to access via a floor flap in the living area.

In the generous overhead lockers above the rear beds, large amounts of clothing and travel equipment can be securely and tidily stored away.

Cleverly hidden away: the steps up to the sleeping area in the HYMER Exsis-t are also used as storage space.

Space for holiday attire is provided by the floor-to-ceiling wardrobe, which varies in width depending on the vehicle layout

The split slatted frame can be folded up out of the way, which means your holiday attire in the wardrobes underneath the single beds can also be easily accessed from above in the HYMER Exsis-i.

Storage space sensation

With so many storage options available in the HYMER Exsis-i, you will need to make a mental note of where you packed all your things.

A good bed is the foundation of healthy, restorative sleep, which is why the cosy HYMER comfort sleeping system is available for all beds, which maximises the benefits of multi-zone cold foam mattresses with high-quality disc-spring bed frames. Each area of the body is supported with the ideal counter-pressure for snug and restful sleep.

In the generous overhead lockers above the rear beds, large amounts of clothing and travel equipment can be securely and tidily stored away.

Thanks to an optional extra cushion, the twin beds in the sleeping area can be quickly and easily converted into one large sleeping oasis in the HYMER Exsis-i.

The stable, deep steps make climbing into bed easy. What’s more, here again you benefit from intelligent storage space: even the large steps up to the bed in the sleeping area of the HYMER Exsis-i can be used to store travel equipment.

Between the large twin beds in the sleeping area is a useful surface and an open shelf unit. To put it in a nutshell, everything you need is within easy reach in the HYMER Exsis-i.

Thanks to the comfy, multi-zone cold foam mattresses installed as a standard, the beds in the HYMER Exsis-i are ideal for lounging during the day as well.

The position of the fold-down bed above the cab also offers maximum freedom of movement and headroom. It offers a comfortable bed surface extending across the entire width of 1.50 m – even in the front part of the vehicle

Sleep like you’re on cloud nine

The HYMER Exsis-i features a multi-zone cold foam mattress on the front and rear bed as standard. This is where you can best recover and recuperate from your adventures.

Depending on the layout, the HYMER Exsis-i boasts a generous side kitchen or an optimised ergonomic corner kitchen with flexible drawer partitions and an extendable worktop. The worktop in the side kitchen can be extended in a flash to create more space.

Opened drawers filled with utensils and dishes in the kitchen block of the HYMER Exsis-i 678" data-caption="Extra-wide, freely-divisible kitchen drawers enable you to safely and handily store all your kitchen utensils. When well organised, the drawers can hold items weighing up to 15 kg. This is equivalent to the current standard found in premium home kitchens. The drawers also feature handy Servo soft-touch closing mechanisms.

As standard, all layouts are equipped with a 96-l refrigerator so you can always count on fresh food and cool drinks while on the road.

The kitchen in the HYMER Exsis-i 678 can also be upgraded by adding a generous 150-litre fridge-freezer as an optional extra. The Exsis-i 474 layout is an exception, with the option of fitting a 142-litre Smart-Tower refrigerator instead of a full-length wardrobe.

Everything the creative cook desires

The perfect floor plan and storage space at a premium standard for kitchen utensils. Whether with a grill-equipped oven or a Smart-Tower, you can cook to your heart’s content. You won’t miss out on any culinary delights.

The elegant coat hooks are ideal for storing jackets or hanging up tea towels to dry.

The 678 layout of the HYMER Exsis-i features a comfortable and spacious en-suite bathroom with a pivoting door, which enables the toilet area to be partitioned off for extra privacy.

Measuring 70 x 68 cm, the separate shower in the spacious en-suite bathroom gives you all the room you need to shower in comfort and luxury.

Generous bathroom cabinets with plenty of storage space make it easy to keep all your accessories within reach. The shelves are fitted with tensioning straps as standard to keep small and fragile items securely stowed away while the vehicle is in motion.

The HYMER Exsis-i also features specially fitted shelves for shower gel and shampoo.

A place you like to be

With a generous and comfortable design. The elegant design of the bathroom provides plenty of room to move while freshening up. No matter if it's the beginning or the end of a travel day, you will always feel right at home.

Exterior Views

The engine compartment beneath the windscreen opens wide and easily for convenient checking and replenishment of the oil, coolant and windscreen washer fluid. The lamps for the headlights are also easily accessible, meaning that they can be replaced in a moment.

The shape of the vehicle has been fully optimised in terms of aerodynamics. The flat bodywork and streamlined front end hood provide especially low air resistance and active airstream control. For you, this means quiet driving with low fuel consumption.

The striking, high-gloss HYMER radiator grille with chrome trim strips provides the Exsis-i with its extraordinarily sporty exterior. The double-skin GRP front section with intermediate PU foam insulation also provides optimum protection from the cold and reduces noise from the road.

The optional reversing camera in the HYMER Exsis-i has a double lens and offers an integrated rear mirror function while driving. On the underbody of the vehicle, the additional service camera ensures that grey water is easy to dispose of.

The “Perfect Close” technology with splash water seals on all the doors and flaps provides a reliable seal and prevents freezing in winter. Additional storage compartments in the rear garage provide room to store accessories and small items.

A storage compartment under the L-shaped seating area is easily accessible via an external hatch on the driver’s side of the HYMER Exsis-i. The living area battery and EBL are also stowed in the compartment in a clearly visible and easily accessible way.

The gas bottles are housed securely and accessibly in an exterior compartment. Changing the gas bottles couldn’t be easier thanks to an optionally available, practical sliding shelf.
